For a smaller cast, it is permissible to cut some roles and share those lines between other characters, thereby creating larger roles. However, when doing this it is important to ensure that character traits, and the integrity of the scene, are not compromised. For a larger cast, larger roles may be shared by two actors. For example, the role of Major Domo may be played by one actor in Scenes 1 and 2, and another actor in Scene 3.
